A movement method that uses rhythmic, flowing sequences to improve flexibility, balance, and strength. It's a non-weight-bearing exercise that's practiced on a mat and chair without equipment and is a great cross-training method for cyclists, runners, and triathletes. Benefits of gyrokinesis: Increases range of motion Enhances joint mobility Increases circulation Promotes strong, lean muscles Stimulates the nervous system Opens energy pathways How it's practiced: Gyrokinesis is derived from the Gyrotonic method, which uses specially developed equipment Gyrokinesis is gentle enough for beginners, but can be challenging for active people Gyrokinesis classes start seated with gentle spinal motions, then add the legs and move to the floor The focus is on expansion through core strength
