SATURDAY

Arrive Catania, get settled, Sicilian BBQ at the house.

 

When leaving baggage claim look for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers flag, you can't miss it! If arriving earlier than the 11th, you'll be given the address so you can make your way to the house Saturday or we will try and coordinate a pick up in Catania.

 

SUNDAY

FITNESS: Ride 1-2 hours Nicolosi To Milo and back

TOUR: Vineyard

Clothes Bag To Pack For Van:  Not needed.  We're doing an out and back ride and will return home before leaving for the vineyard.

Monday

Fitness: 3-4 Hour Walking Catania

TOUR: Fish Market / Piazza Duomo / Fontana dell'Elefante / Cattedrale di Sant'Agata / Roman Amphitheater / Monastery / Market

 

Workout Clothes:  Comfortable walking clothes & shoes

Backpack: Bring to carry water and also if you buy items to bring home. 

Dinner:  Pasta Con Vongole At House

Tuesday

Fitness: 4 Hour Hike Taormina

TOUR: Isolo Bella, Greek Theater, Taormina, Chiesa Madonna della Rocca

 

Workout Clothes:  Comfortable walking clothes & shoes

Clothes Bag To Pack For Van:  Bathing suit & something casual after snorkeling as we'll enjoy an Aperitivo from Isola Bella 

Backpack: Bring to carry water and also if you buy items to bring home 

Guides Provide:  All snorkeling gear

Dinner:  Aperitivo in Taormina before we depart.  Still hungry?  Tanto da mangiare a casa.

Wednesday

Fitness: 3-5 hour ride Nicolosi/Bronte/Nicolosi

TOUR: Stop in Bronte to refuel and return home for special event.

Etna

Thursday

Fitness: 5-6 hour hike Etna

TOUR: Etna

 

Workout Clothes:  Women wear lulu lemon & men track pants…something that is flexible and stretchy. Also, light upper layer that is easily removable as you'll be taking it on and off based on weather and intensity of hike.  High socks are also good to keep the sand out. We'll stop at half way point and have lunch which YOU packed before we left the house.

Clothes Bag To Pack For Van:  None

Personal Bag To Pack For Van:  None

Backpack:  Water, lunch, camera, etc.  

Guides Provide:  Helmets, Walking Sticks, Jacket, Boots

Post Climb Snack:  Aperitivo before heading home.

Fitness: Walke or Run/Paddleboard or Kayak

TOUR: Aci Castello / Aci Trezza

Fitness: Cycle Up/Down/Up/Down Etna!

TOUR: Your ceiling above your bed because you will be gassed.

WHAT TO BRING

GENERAL CLOTHING PACKING

Temperatures in the region will be mid to upper 80's during the day and 50's - 60's at night.  Nicolosi, where the house is, is half way up Etna and will be slightly cooler.  Sicily is very casual so for the few times we go out for dinner keep it simple. If you forget something it's ok as Monday we will be in Catania at the Market and you can find what you need there.  

 

BIKING

YOU BRING:  Cycling gear, cycling shoes, gloves, socks, sun glasses, gps or phone

WE PROVIDE: Bikes, Helmets, Pedals (Delta or SPD or Flat), Water Bottles, Water & Hydration, Nutrition, Sun Screen, Saddle Bags With all spares & CO's.

HIKING/WALKING/RUNNING

YOU BRING:  sun glasses, shoes, shorts, long stretchy pants, socks, cap/visor
